Effective tomorrow (October 28, 2022) at noon BC Wildfire Service says Category 2 and Category 3 open burning prohibitions will expire in the Cariboo Fire Center.
This prohibition, which was extended on October 15th, is being rescinded jointly with the Tsilhqot’in Nation.
The use of fireworks, air curtain burners, sky lanterns, burn barrels, or burn cages of any size or description and binary exploding targets, will also be rescinded at noon tomorrow.
BC Wildfire Service reminds the public that local prohibitions may be in effect and to check with local government authorities for restrictions before lighting any fire.
More information on open burning is available on the BC Wildfire Service website.
