Charges laid in connection with a firearms seizure in Quesnel last week

A 44-year old man arrested in connection with a firearms seizure in Quesnel last week has appeared in court.

Shaldon Raymond Mcrae is facing one count each of uttering threats, pointing a firearm, and careless use or storage of a firearm.

He’s due back in court on November 8th.

Mcrae was one of five people arrested after Quesnel RCMP executed a search warrant in the 600 block of Fir Street in the Red Bluff area last Thursday. (Oct 13)

The North District Emergency Response Team was called in to assist, and police say seven firearms were seized.

All of the other suspects were released from custody, although police say their investigation continues.
