Quesnel stabbing suspect pleads guilty

The accused in a stabbing incident in Quesnel has pleaded guilty to one of two charges laid against him.

25-year old Joseph Kendall Oester pleaded guilty to a charge of assault causing bodily harm and is due back in court on December 13th for a pre-sentence report.

He was also facing one count of assault with a weapon.

The charges are in connection with an incident back in February.

Quesnel RCMP were called to the 100 block of Carson Avenue where they discovered that a man had been stabbed in a dwelling unit.

Police said at the time that the victim suffered non-life threatening injuries.
