GoByBike Held its Critical Mass Bike Ride in Williams Lake

GoByBike Weeks will be coming to a close this Sunday (October 16th), after its Critical Mass bike ride.

The biking event, which is put on by the Scout Island Nature Centre, has put on multiple biking activities for the community to take part in.

“Being able to bike and cycle in your community is so important for safety, for the environment, and air quality.” says Erin Hitchcock, Community Coordinator for GoByBike Weeks.

“There’s way to much vehicle use in not just our community, but all over.”

While the event highlights the impact biking can have, it also pushes safety for all riders.

Denise Deschene, who works along side Hitchcock, noted the Williams Lake has some busy streets, making it scary to ride.

The goal is to get everyone moving and engaging in bike riding.
