Quesnel RCMP execute search warrant in the Red Bluff area

There is a police presence in the 600 block of Fir Street this hour after RCMP executed a search warrant for firearms at around 2 o’clock this afternoon.

Sergeant Clay Kronebusch goes over a few of the details.

“The North District Emergency Response Team was utilized to assist with the execution of the warrant.  During the execution of the warrant some of the occupants did not comply with police commands to exit the residence so diversionary tactics were deployed and all subjects were safely taken into custody.”

Contrary to some reports, Kronebush says there were no shots fired.

He says they can’t say at this point what was seized.

“At this point we’re still investigating, so I can’t confirm what’s been located at this point but a further media release will follow.”

Kronebusch says they have also yet to determine what charges will be laid.
