RCMP called to apartment in Quesnel for report of a man with a gun

One man is in custody in Quesnel after RCMP surrounded an apartment complex in West Quesnel yesterday. (Wednesday)

Sergeant Clay Kronebusch goes over a few of the details.

“Yesterday around 10 am police responded to a report of a man who is possibly in possession of a firearm.  Police attended and the man was taken into custody without incident.”

The call was to the apartments in the 100 block of Malcolm Street near Save-On-Foods.

Kronebusch says they do not believe that there is any threat to the general public.

“The victim and suspects are known to each other.  There is no concern for public safety at this point. We have one man in custody at this point and the investigation is ongoing

Kronebusch says there will likely be charges.
