Road Paving And Repairs To Dog Creek Road To Begin After The Long Weekend

Paving and road repair operations on Dog Creek Road within the City of Williams Lake limits are slated to get underway soon.

Rob Warnock, Director of Municipal Service for the City said that will begin this Tuesday morning weather permitting.

“We have Peter Brothers Paving coming in to do some grinding and paving on Dog Creek Road. They will be going from the bottom of Dog Creek and Hodgson Road, up over the big hump, taking the hump off in the middle of the road, and then going up to just before the corner and they will come back down the hill and do more grinding and then pave the whole road,” Warnock said.

Work is expected to take four to five days.

“We met with Peter Brothers Paving yesterday and they figure four to five days to do all the work. They have to grind everything first so they will probably be taking a day or two to grind the whole road

it’s probably going to be approximately 4 passes to grind the road and then they will start paving after that,” Warnock said.

The public is asked to obey traffic controls and signage and to exercise caution when driving in the vicinity of crews and equipment.

Motorists should also expect some delays while the work is taking place.
