Quesnel City Council approves two grant applications for Lhtako Dene Park

Two grant applications for Lhtako Dene Park were approved at this week’s City Council meeting in Quesnel.

One is for up to 350 thousand dollars to Infrastructure Canada’s Natural Infrastructure Fund, and the other is for up to 300 thousand to Northern Development Initiative Trust’s Cultural Infrastructure stream.

Lindsay Blair is the Senior Community Development Coordinator.

“The grants, if successful, would also help with electrical upgrades to increase event hosting capacity, build a pit house with green roof, benches and accessible picnic tables, pay for interpretive signs and a cultural monument, and for traditional garden beds with native perennial species.”
