Dog Creek Road to See Upcoming Repairs

The City of Williams Lake is looking to have repairs done for Dog Creek road before the end of the season.

The repairs are looking to cost about $180,000, where the City looks to work with the Peters Brothers Paving.

“It’s always been a bit of a priority to get it repaved, remilled, regrinded, and resurfaced.” says Scott Nelson, Williams Lake City Councillor.

“What we’re doing here is a temporary fix, but it’s certainly better than nothing at this point in time.”

As for any road closures, Nelson noted that there won’t be any, and said they would work around the traffic, and have traffic control so people can get around them.

The City is also waiting on confirmation from the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure on what they’re going to contribute to.

Nelson said that the road work would be done from the bottom of Dog Creek, up to the corner of Shaw.
