Cariboo Chilcotin Physicians Better Linked With Community Stakeholders Through Fetch

A website for everything that’s community-based in the Cariboo Chilcotin was officially launched Wednesday morning.

GP for Me Coordinator with the Central Interior Rural Division of Family Practice Laurie Walters says it’s exciting that the fetch website is here.

“What it is, is the resource directory is for our physicians to be able to go in and assist their patients by knowing what other community health stakeholders we have in our community and broader,” she said.

“They can click on and they can see what is available and have all the information on it at their fingertips.”

Walters says work on the site began on June through a GP for Me initiative based on physicians indicating they needed to link with the community more and community stakeholders.

“The bonus of this is that community stakeholders, embrace this as well.”

The site is available at cariboochilcotin.fetchbc.ca.
