A Few Players From The Cariboo are in the BCEHL

The rosters for the Cariboo Cougars and Northern Capitals have been announced for the 2022-23 season, which includes some Cariboo athletes.

A total of three teams will have athletes from both Williams Lake and Quesnel which include the U17AAA Cougars, U18AAA Cougars, and the U18FAAA Capitals.

The Cariboo Athletes for the U17AAA Cougars include:

  • Carter Boomer (Williams Lake)
  • Grady Gustafson (Williams Lake)
  • Liam Richardson (Quesnel)
  • Kade Lawlor (Quesnel)
  • Ben Fofonoff (Williams Lake

U18AAA Cougars:

  • Marik Mamic (Quesnel)
  • Isaiah Bagri (Quesnel)
  • Carter Hesselgrave (Quesnel)

U18FAAA Capitals:

  • Neen Suapa (Williams Lake)
  • Rachel Loewen (Williams Lake)

It was also announced that Loewen will make the move to the NCAA Division 1 Niagara Purple Eagles next season.

Loewen helped secure the second overall seed for the Capitals in the in the BCEHL U18FAAA league last year, with three goals and seven assists in 29 regular season games.
