Quesnel residents can hear from the candidates in the upcoming municipal election later this week

   The Quesnel and District Chamber of Commerce will be hosting an all-candidates forum on Wednesday night.
   Kathy Somerville is the Chamber Manager.
   “The all-candidates forum is on September 28th at the College of New Caledonia form 6 til 9.  The candidates for Mayor will be speaking from 6 til 7-15.  Candidates for Council will be speaking from 7-30 til 9.”
   Somerville encourages people to get their questions in.
   “Your questions have to be sent to [email protected], or you can enter the night of on Slo-do.  People can also call the Chamber at 992-7262 as well.”
   Somerville says the public is welcome to attend.
   There are four candidates for Mayor.
   Incumbent Bob Simpson is being challenged by current City Councillor Ron Paull, as well as by David Schile and Brian Waters.
   There are a dozen candidates for 6 available Councillor positions.
   They are incumbents Scott Elliott, Laurie-Anne Roodenburg, Tony Goulet, Martin Runger and Mitch Vik, and potential newcomers Debra McKelvie, Suzannah Paller-Meir, Troy Schonke, Micheal Stobart, Chad Stump, and Michael Duperron.
