Health Care Aides across the province will be celebrated and recognized as today is Health Care Assistant Day in BC.
Angela O’Grady, a health care aide instructor in Williams Lake, says health care aides not only provide frontline care but also one of a kind relationships for people who cannot care for themselves.
O’Grady says health care assistants play a significant role in the health care system.
Health Care Assistant Day was declared on October 18 of 2011 as a collaborative effort by unions, educators, employers, and the BC Care Aide and Community Health Worker Registry Advisory Committee.
