McLeod: More Women in Politics is Good, Quotas are Not

The Member of Parliament for the Kamloops-Thompson-Cariboo has weighed in on the Liberal government’s equal gender cabinet, and unsurprisingly, has found it lacking.

Inclusion is nice, but women are capable of standing on their own merits without the use of parity quotas says Conservative Cathy McLeod:

It’s great to see the inclusion at all levels but I happen to believe that women are very capable of making the grade without the need for parity quotas.

The Tory MP points to her own party’s selection of Rona Ambrose for interim leader as the gold standard of merit coming before optics.

Something going on in the Cariboo you think people should know about?
