Highway 97 South Of 100 Mile House Reopen

Update 12 pm April 20

100 Mile House RCMP responded to an early morning single-vehicle collision on Highway 97 near Keene Road.

Staff Sargeant Svend Neilsen said the driver of a Freightliner tractor-trailer was going northbound along the Highway when the truck began to drift due to icy road conditions.

Neilsen said the driver was unable to gain control during the slide and slid into the ditch of the southbound lane.

There were no injuries and the truck was removed after the tractor was twisted by the collision.
