President Bob Lebeck says an anonymous donor has once again come forward with a challenge to local residents.
He says they will match the community’s donations until December 15th up to 50 thousand dollars.
Lebeck says that money will never be spent as it is only the interest from their endowment fund that goes to charity groups.
He says they gave away 70 thousand dollars last year and that total has surpassed 400 thousand dollars since 2001.
Lebeck says the endowment has grown from 50 thousand dollars in 2001 to more than 2 million dollars today.
He says people can donate money by simply calling him at 249-55-90 or going to their website at quesnelfoundation.ca.
