Alleged South Cariboo Shooter to Face Trial in January

November 9th will be the next court date in Williams Lake for a 100 Mile House man who is the accused in a shooting.
That is when a pretrial conference will take place for Phillip Thomas May.
His tentative trial date has been set for January.
May, 59 at the time of his arrest, is charged with Attempted Murder, Aggravated Assault, Use of a Firearm to Cause Bodily Harm and Uttering Threats.
100 Mile House RCMP responded to a report of a man in distress in the 7000 block of 93 Mile Loop Road back in May of 2014.
Police say a 39-year old man, also from 100 Mile, had just been shot and was rushed to hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries.
A suspect was identified on scene and officers attended a residence in the Evergreen Drive area to make an arrest.
However, as they arrived, the suspect then fled the scene in a vehicle.
A spike belt was deployed but the suspect continued on with four flat tires.
RCMP say they pursued the suspect but fearing that he was making his way into a more populated area, they eventually forced the vehicle off the road.
