Bella Coola resident a million dollar winner through Lotto 6/49

Bella Coola resident Larry Moody remains on cloud nine after winning $1 million dollars in a guaranteed prize draw for Lotto 6/49 on Oct. 28.

Moody says discovering he won the prize on Halloween was the best treat ever!

“I was at the convenience store when I decided to self-check my ticket. Initially, I thought I won $1000 so I asked the clerk if I could claim my prize,” recalled Moody.

“She said that would be impossible because I won $1 Million. I couldn’t believe it!”

Moody says he will start with making a lifelong dream of his, a reality.

“I have always wanted to open up a tire shop in Bella Coola and employ my two sons. Right now people need to drive to Williams Lake for tires,” said Moody.

“Now I can make this happen.”

The winning ticket was purchased at Thunderbird Grocery in Bella Coola.
