Flu Shots Available Via Drop-ins Today and Tomorrow in 100 Mile House

The flu shot will be available today and tomorrow in the South Cariboo, free to those who are most at risk.

Lesley Coates, a Communications Officer with Interior Health, provides confirms the dates and assures that there will be appointments available for people unable to make the drop in days

Actually there’s several in 100 Mile, there’s two drop-in clinics coming up this week on November 4th and 5th and then there’s some appointment clinics after that.

The South Cariboo Health Centre on Cedar Avenue will be the site for drop ins between 10 a-m and 5 p-m today and tomorrow.

Appointments will also be made available at that location on November 20th, 27th and December 4th.

BCGEU strike headed to mediation

The B.C. General Employees' Union (BCGEU) and the provincial government have agreed to enter non-binding mediation, expected to begin as soon as possible. Vince Ready and Amanda Rogers are to be the mediators facilitating the process. The BCGEU said in a statement, it's members will still maintain picket lines across the province while mediation proceeds.
