Battered Wranglers Shoot for 1st Place Versus Sicamous

It’ll be a battered 100 Mile House Wranglers club facing off against the Sicamous Eagles tonight.

The team will be missing four forwards, two defensemen, and a goalie as the injury and sick bugs decided to coordinate efforts.

But Coach Dale Hladun sees a silver lining for some of the Wranglers depth players

“It gives a bunch of our young guys opportunity and lots of ice time. It’s all practice until the playoffs and its a great practice for the younger guys. It’s going to be a tough one, because Sicamous is tough at home and they have a dangerous powerplay.

The stakes are high as a Wranglers win would see the team jump into a tie with Kamloops for first place in the division.

The Wranglers will be without goaltender Zane Steeves (sick), defensemen Josh Odelein (lower body) and Todd Bredo (day to day) and forwards Alex Hanson (sick), Alex Meeker (long term), Brett Harris (long-term) and Tyler Povelofskie (day-to-day).
