The BC Coroners Service has confirmed the identity of a male who died following a motor vehicle incident near Williams Lake on Oct. 30.
He was Allan Shewchuk, aged 52, most recently residing in Williams Lake.
Shewchuk was the driver of a southbound SUV which sideswiped a loaded semi truck and low-bed unit on McKenzie Ave. North and 168 Rd. shortly after 7 pm.
Shewchuk was transported to Cariboo Memorial Hospital in Williams Lake but succumbed to his injuries.
The BC Coroners Service and RCMP Traffic Services continue to investigate.
