Central Cariboo Pool Survey Results In

A second survey shows a high level of awareness and support of the proposed project to renovate the Sam Ketcham Pool.

A benchmark survey from January has been compared with a second survey on the proposed project to renovate the Sam Ketcham Pool.

The current survey of 400 residents in the City of Williams Lake and portions of the CRD Electoral Areas D, E, and F found that public awareness of the pool project has risen substantially from 75% to 83%.

A notable change was also observed when residents were asked; if the referendum was held tomorrow; do you feel you have adequate information to make an informed decision?

In January only 27% of respondents said they had enough information, while the current survey reports that percentage has now grown to 50%.

The referendum on November on November 15 will ask voters if they approve borrowing up to 10 million dollars over 20 years to renovate the Sam Ketcham Pool which includes replacement of the main pool tank and the addition of a three-lane leisure pool featuring a lazy river and waterside.

More information about the proposed Sam Ketcham Pool renovation and upgrades can be found at the following websites:
