With Insurance Obtained, the Bike Park Will Stay in 100 Mile House

It was a packed 100 Mile House and District Council meeting that heard a presentation from the Mountain Bike Park group with an update on how to proceed moving forward.

The big stumbling block of insurance for the impromptu site constructed on municipal land has been overcome said group representative Clayton Chamberlain:

The 2015-2016 insurance coverage has been obtained. With the community’s support we were able to raise enough money for it.

The contributions from the community have been amazing said Chamberlain – who pointed to donations of building materials, time and money as just some of the contributions:

The community, rider and parent support has been overwhelming. The knowledge gained, the materials donated, the labour and the dedication to maintaining these perfect jumps has just been incredible.

The group also participated in a clean up to move aside debris for a prescribed burn next month as part of a commitment moving forward to work with the district in maintaining the bike park.
