Poppies will be available across the Cariboo Friday just in time for Remembrance Day.
Chair of the Poppy Campaign for the Royal Canadian Legion in Williams Lake, Joe Bazan says the first poppy ceremony took place yesterday.
“Now we’re organizing a campaign to blitz the City with poppy boxes and commemorative wreaths and crosses throughout the City.”
Williams Lake Mayor Walt was presented with the first poppy within the Lake city.
All funds raised through the poppy campaign go towards supporting Canadian veterans and their families.
