West Chilcotin Health Society to receive defibrillerator

A defibrillator will be soon arriving to the West Chilcotin Health Society after the Cariboo Chilcotin Regional Hospital District agreed to provide to 40% of the funds.

Chair John Massier, says the District has partnered with societies in the northern and southern interior as well for getting needed capital equipment.

“So I look forward to health care type societies throughout the Cariboo Chilcotin to come to our Board and take advantage of our foundation partnership grant program.”

The West Chilcotin Society was able to raise 60% of the remaining funds locally.

Massier says Interior Health has already purchased the defibrillator and cardiac monitor.

He says it should be arriving to the West Chilcotin Healthcare Society in the near future.
