Bauer First Shift Program Offered For The First Time In Williams Lake

First-time hockey players, boys, and girls, 6 to 10-years old will be given a unique opportunity to learn the game next month.

Williams Lake Minor Hockey Association was chosen to hold the Bauer First Shift Program.

Jeremy Forster, WLMHA (Williams Lake Minor Hockey Association) Rec Coordinator and Head Coach for this program said it’s designed to ensure a positive and affordable experience for new-to-hockey families.

“The time commitment is scheduled a little bit less than what would we see in a Minor Hockey World. It goes for 6-weeks, it’s a scheduled time every Saturday starting on November 6th. Bauer comes in, equips the child from head to toe, everything you would need to be on the ice, and I believe the program is only $229 so it’s relatively affordable considering the cost of hockey.”

Forster added that the Bauer First Shift Program will teach the young players the fundamentals of skating and hockey skills that’s memorable and fun.

The First Shift Program is based on a 30 player capacity and Forster said at the moment they still have 8 spots left to be filled.

To register for the remaining spots, parents can call Williams Lake Minor Hockey Office at 250-392-2211or email [email protected].
