Evacuation Order partially lifted at Green Acres Mobile Home Park

Residents of four properties in the Green Acres Mobile Home Park may now return to their homes.

The City of Williams Lake has partially lifted the Evacuation Order for the four properties, as of noon on Saturday, October 23rd, 2021.

The two properties remain under Evacuation Order, and require remedial works, and the rest of the park has been downgraded to an Evacuation Alert.

Repairs to the exposed sanitary sewer main will start next week.

The City of Williams Lake declared a State of Local Emergency and activated the Emergency Operations Centre on September 28th after becoming aware of land slippage in the vicinity road. The City issued an evacuation alert in the area around the slide as a precautionary measure, and issued an Evacuation Order for six properties the following day.
