Quesnel RCMP said a Quesnel man was killed when he failed to negotiate a corner and his vehicle rolled down an embankment.
Sargeant Richard Weseen said Police responded to a single-vehicle rollover at 2:45 yesterday afternoon that occurred approximately five kilometres west on the Quesnel Hixon ROAD.
“The truck was traveling East on Quesnel Hixon Road and entered the South ditch”. Weseen said, “The truck then drove approximately 100 meters down an embankment, struck a tree, and rolled over. The driver was the lone occupant and was declared deceased at the scene.”
Weather and road conditions were not a factor in the collision and Police are continuing their investigation.
The name of the driver is not being released.
