Silent Art Auction underway to help those who lost homes in Lytton

BC Disaster Relief is hosting an Art Auction to help those who lost their homes in Lytton this Summer.

Founder and President of BC Disaster Relief Adam Smolsick says the art up for auction was done by 15 different Lytton area artists, most of whom are Indigenous. “We’re auctioning off these items in hopes to raise $100,000 today to buy more homes to deal with the temporary housing shortage in Lytton,” Smolsick explains.

The auction is taking place in Kamloops, but the art is available to be seen and bid on online. “You can always check out our FaceBook page, we have our event page with all of the items,” Smolsick says, “and you can email [email protected] to register for online bidding.”

The art show has been going on for two weeks, with the auction scheduled for Saturday, October 16th. Bidding on items will end at 5 PM today.
