Wranglers lose on the road in Chase

The 100 Mile House Wranglers took their second loss of the season at the hands of the Chase Heat Friday night.

Lucas Oullette opened the scoring for the Heat in the first period, Aiden Brown and Matthew Poole picked up assists.

The Wranglers tied the game in the second on a goal from Soloman Oldham, with Rory McNabb and Tanner Hooper picking up assists. The Heat regained the lead 91 seconds later with a shorthanded goal from Matthew Poole, on assists from Garrett Martin and Drew Tkachuk.

The Heat tacked on one more in the third with a powerplay goal from Braeden Huth, assisted by Jarod Sigouin and Drew Tkachuk.

Casey Thompson played the whole game in net for the Wranglers, stopping 40 of 43 shots, and was named the Wranglers’ Player of the Game.

The Wranglers will be back in action Saturday night, when they host the Kelowna Chiefs at the South Cariboo Rec Centre.
