The Welcome Mat Will Be Out Sunday At Search And Rescue In Williams Lake

If you’re passionate about helping others and looking for a way to give back to your community in an extraordinary way, you’ll get that opportunity tomorrow.

“Central Cariboo Search and Rescue in Williams Lake will be hosting an Open House,” said Member, and one of the SARS Public Relations Coordinators, Debra Bortolussi. “This will also be a great opportunity for anyone who wants to know more about what Search and Rescue does and also for

recruiting prospective new members.”

Bortolussi said they’ve always had great success with their recruitment of new members.

“We’re very fortunate that our community is full of people who really care, but as everything with COVID, our membership numbers have dropped and so we are looking for people who are passionate about the community and are passionate about joining.”

Bortolussi reminds anyone planning to attend tomorrow’s (October 3rd) Open House that you’ll be asked to wear a mask, and to follow COVID protocols as safety is always their number one priority.

Central Cariboo Search and Rescue will be holding the majority of this event outdoors in front of their hall on Mackenzie Avenue North.

More details on CCSAR’s (Central Cariboo Search and Rescue) Open House can be found on their Facebook Page.
