BC Vaccine Card now the only acceptable proof of vaccination

Starting today, the BC Vaccine Card is the only acceptable proof of vaccination for some events and settings.

The province says the BC Vaccine Card is required in certain settings such as restaurants and indoor events.

“More than 3.1 million British Columbians have already received their BC Vaccine Card, allowing them to attend events and indoor recreational settings more safely,” said Adrian Dix, Minister of Health. “The smartest, safest, and soundest decision right now for everyone eligible is to get vaccinated. We encourage all British Columbians to get their shot and download their BC Vaccine Card today.”

BC Residents can get their Vaccine Card online at gov.bc.ca/vaccinecard, and keep a digital copy on their mobile device by screenshotting it, or saving the digital copy to the device. A hard copy can be printed as well.

The BC Vaccine Card has a secure individualized QR code and image showing the holder is ‘vaccinated’ or ‘partially vaccinated’.

Currently, only one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine is required to enter most settings, and both doses will be needed by October 24th.
