Brayden Haskell and Garrett Martin extended the Heat’s lead to 3 in the second, with assists from Ouellette and Braeden Huth.

The Heat piled on in the third, with Matthew Poole with a setup from Bhavin Serown, and Matteo Bordin picked up the final goal of the night on Ouellette’s third assist of the game.

Goaltending duties for the Wranglers were split in the preseason contest, Cort Castonguay started the game in foal, and stopped 16 of the 18 shots he faced. Casey Thompson came in nearly halfway through the second period and stopped 17 of 20 shots faced.

The Wranglers will start their regular season at home against the Heat on October 2nd.
