Fate of Quesnel murder suspect now in the hands of a Supreme Court Justice

35-year old Kristopher Leclair will be back in Supreme Court in Prince George on December 13th for a decision by Justice Devlin.

It will follow a lengthy trial that lasted several weeks.

He will remain in custody until then.

Leclair is charged with second degree murder in the stabbing death of a 48-year old man, with attempted murder in connection with the stabbing of a 52-year old woman, as well as with one count of aggravated assault.

The charges are in connection with an incident back on July 21st of 2018 during Billy Barker Days.

RCMP were called to a residence on Hillborn Road in the Two Mile Flat area.

Upon arrival, police say they discovered a deceased male and a seriously injured female.

A suspect turned himself in that same day.

RCMP said at the time that the suspect and the victims were known to each other.

No other details were released.
