Council to reconsider application for development variance permit for 18 Woodland Drive

A development variance permit application for a proposed six-lot development on Woodland Drive in Williams Lake will be reconsidered.

Councillor Jason Ryll who made the request, says he is trying to make the most informed decision possible.

“We all know that development isn’t going all great gangbusters in not only our community but in other communities and so that’s why I recognize the value of what it can bring to our community, but at the same time I want to make sure that I have all of the information in front of me.”

The proposed application by MacPine Developments Ltd. on 18 woodland drive will be reconsidered by Council on Nov. 17 with the public living within the area re-notified of the application.

The permit was narrowly denied by Council on Oct. 6 in a 4-3 vote-with Ryll and Councillors Ivan Bonnell, Sue Zacharias, and Craig Smith voting against it.
