ELECTION 2021: Caputo wins for first time Kamloops-Thompson-Cariboo

The polls have closed and results are coming in for the 2021 Federal Election.

Vista Radio and My Cariboo Now are providing extensive coverage of the vote.

The race in Kamloops-Thompson-Cariboo is being contested by seven candidates:

    • Independent Candidate Wayne Allan
    • Conservative Candidate Frank Caputo
    • Green Party Candidate Iain Currie
    • People’s Party of Canada Corally Delwo (photo not provided)
    • Liberal Party Candidate Jesse McCormick
    • Independent Candidate Bob O’Brien
    • NDP Candidate Bill Sundhu

Here are the results as of: 12:01 AM

Vote Total: 59,877

Polls Reporting: 290 of 297 (97.64%)

Independent – Wayne Allan Votes: 133 – 0.2%

Conservative – Frank Caputo – Votes: 25,709 – 42.9%

Green Party – Iain Currie – Votes: 2,213 – 3.7%

PPC – Corally Delwo – Votes: 3,512 – 5.9%

Liberal – Jesse McCormick – Votes: 10,685 – 17.8%

Independent – Bob O’Brien – Votes: 261 – 0.4%

NDP – Bill Sundhu – Votes: 17,364 – 29.0%

Mail-in ballots will be counted at a later date
