Today is Election Day in Canada

Today is the day for Cariboo residents to cast their ballots in the Federal Election.

There are two ridings in the Cariboo, Cariboo-Prince George, and Kamloops-Thompson-Cariboo.

To find out where you need to vote, check your voter information card, or submit your postal code on the Elections Canada website.

When you go to vote, Elections Canada reminds voters to bring an accepted ID. It is not required, but it is recommended to bring your voter information card with you. Masks will be required at polling stations. Elections Canada will not ask for proof of vaccination.

Bringing your own pen or pencil is also recommended, but single-use pencils will be available.

BC Transit will be providing free service in Williams Lake and Quesnel throughout the day.

Polls will be open from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM today.
