BC Transit will be offering free service in Quesnel on Election Day

BC Transit Communications Manager Tessa Humphries says this is being done to help make it easier for people to get to the polls.

“BC Transit works with our local partners across the province, and we’re offering free transit on Monday, September 20th in a variety of communities across the province,” Humphries says.

Quesnel is one of the communities listed as receiving free service on Election Day, Williams Lake and 100 Mile House will not be included.

“This in partnership with our local government partners, so we reach out to our local government partners in advance and ask if it’s something they would like to partner with us on,” Humphries explains, “In this case, the communities listed are the communities that we did hear back from that will be offering the free transit on Election Day.”

Humphries says proof of vaccination is currently not required for BC Transit.
