Voters in the Cariboo ridings flock to the advanced polls

Tens of thousands of British Columbians in the Cariboo’s ridings have already voted at advance polls for the federal election, according to Elections Canada.

In the Cariboo-Prince George riding, it is estimated that 17,084 voters in the riding have cast their ballot at advance polls, compared to 12,479 in 2019.

In the Kamloops-Thompson-Cariboo riding, 27,838 voters took advantage of advanced polls. 19,320 voted in advanced polls in 2019.

Elections Canada says these numbers are estimates, as some polls may not have reported yet.

According to the Chief Electoral Officer, 5,780,000 votes have been cast using advanced polls in this federal election, an increase of over 18% from 2019.
