100 Mile House RCMP were called to the scene of a sudden death in the 500 block of Cedar Avenue at around 6 o’clock this (Monday) morning.
Upon arrival, police discovered a 46-year old local Caucasian man in an open area adjacent to the Sundial Townhouses.
The man was deceased from a single gunshot wound.
Police immediately closed down the area, specifically along Cedar Avenue by the hospital, to all local traffic.
100 Mile Fire Rescue and the BC Coroners Service were called in to assist.
RCMP say there was nothing discovered through the course of the initial investigation that would indicate any signs of foul play.
The man’s name has not been released.
His family is being supported by Victim Services locally.
