BC Vaccine card rules take effect today

Starting today, British Columbians will have to show their proof of vaccination to access some services.

Those who have received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine will be able to use the vaccination record they received from the BC Vaccine Clinic or pharmacies until September 26th. On September 27th, the actual BC Vaccine Card will have to be obtained to access non-essential services.

The BC Vaccince card can be accessed by visiting www2.gov.bc.ca/vaccinecard. To access proof of vaccination, British Columbians will have to entire personal health number, date of birth, and date of vaccination. The BC Vaccine Card can be saved to a mobile device or printed and will include a secure individualized QR code.

As of today, only one dose of a vaccine is needed to access non-essential services. By October 24th, entry to non-essential services will require two doses.
