35-year old Brent Adolph pleaded guilty to one count of Aggravated Assault.
He is due back in Supreme Court on the 27th of this month to set a date for sentencing.
Adolph was charged in connection with a stabbing incident in May of 2016.
RCMP say they were called to the corner of Lakeview Crescent and Broadway Avenue South where police say they located a 27-year old male in medical distress.
He was rushed to Cariboo Memorial Hospital and was immediately flown out to a larger center in critical condition.
RCMP said at the time that they believed that this incident may have carried on from a disagreement or argument at a local business in the area.
