“Mixed bag” of weather for the Labour Day long weekend

Environment Canada is calling for changing conditions in the Cariboo for the Labour Day weekend.

“On Friday, we’ll start to see some increasing cloud,” says Environment Canada Meteorologist Bobby Sekhon, “On Saturday we do have a bit of a weather system moving through that’s going to bring some cooler conditions and highs of only 16, and a good chance of showers as well.”

Sekhon says some clouds may linger into Sunday, but conditions will be warmer and sunnier as the weekend continues.

“This isn’t too far off of what the normal weather usually is around the Labour Day long weekend,” Sekhon says, “We always hope for the best for the last little of summer vacation, but often you can get some systems coming through and giving you a chance of showers and that’s the case this time. At least some of the weekend we should see some sunny skies.”

Sekhon also says it should be very nice when kids go back to school next week.
