Stats Canada releases population numbers for the Cariboo

Modest growth in Williams Lake and small declines in both Quesnel and 100 Mile House.

That describes the population numbers released by Stats Canada for 2020.

The official population in the Lake City is now 11,559, which is up 103 people from 2019.

The City of Quesnel’s official population for 2020 is 10,356, which is down by 12, and the District of 100 Mile House had 2,012 people in 2020 according to Stats Canada.

That is down by just 2 from 2019.

All of these numbers don’t include Cariboo Regional District residents that are in some cases living just outside of Quesnel, Williams Lake and 100 Mile.
