Interior Health says team sports for both adults and youth can take place under the gatherings and events public health order, including competition such as games and tournaments.
However, Interior Health also says spectator capacity will be limited to 50 people indoors and 100 outdoors as per the public health order.
Sports like martial arts, gymnastics and cheerleading can also go ahead, if they meet the indoor capacity of 50 people.
They also say events will not be permitted over the indoor or outdoor capacity even if proof of vaccination is given at this time.
