Williams Lake Man to make court appearance for home invasion in Agassiz

A Williams Lake man is facing charges of forcible entry to a residence and mischief after being arrested by Agassiz RCMP.

The charges stem from a police investigation initiated on Oct.4 when at approximately 10:00 am RCMP received a report from a homeowner of a man allegedly breaking into her residence in the 14500 block of Morris Valley Road.

When challenged by the home owner the male rode away on a bicycle. Police immediately responded to the address where the victim and witnesses provided the suspect’s description.

37-year-old Brendan Fediuk was quickly located and arrested by a patrolling officer.

“Alert witnesses who did not hesitate to become involved are credited by police in the apprehension of the suspect,” said Cpl. Mike Rail.

Fediuk has been released from custody pending a court appearance later this month.
