Williams Lake Harvest Run takes off sunday

Thanks to the popularity of the Nutrition Fun Run held in the spring, there’s a new run starting up this weekend that will be a traditional fall event in Williams Lake.

Recreation Co-Ordinator for the City of Williams Lake Denise Skarra outlines the route participants will be taking when the inaugural Harvest Run begins this sunday morning at 11 from the Cariboo Memorial Recreation Centre.

“The run will be a five kilometer run going out and about around by moon and then  back down by pigeon and we’re hoping to wrap it up around noon with some prizes.

Skarra says you can do the Williams Lake Harvest Run as a five-k, or a ten-k, or in any little sections you’d like because it’s all about getting people out to be active all year long.
