Competition For All Three Cariboo Mayoral Positions

There will be competition for all three Mayoral positions in the Cariboo.
The nomination period wrapped up this afternoon and there are 4 people vying for the City’s top job in Williams Lake as incumbent Kerry Cook is being challenged by Walt Cobb, Surinderpal Rathor and John Bjornstrom.
11 people have put their name forward for 6 positions as Councillor.
100 Mile House Mayor Mitch Campsall is being challenged by Maureen Pinkney and there are 7 people running for 4 available Councillor positions.
And in Quesnel, barring any changes in the challenge as the withdrawal period ends on Tuesday at 4, it will be a two-person race for Mayor with incumbent Mary Sjostrom up against former MLA Bob Simpson.
There will be 9 names on the ballot for 6 available Councillor positions.
