Jason Aldean Tour Vehicle Flips Outside Kamloops

Its bad news for country music fans as there was an incident on the highway last night with one of Jason Aldean’s tour vehicles.

The semi-truck flipped says RCMP Corporal Cheryl Bush who breaks down some of the crash details

“Kamloops Rural RCMP responded to a flipped semi-truck just before one a-m this morning on the Trans-Canada Highway near Cherry Creek. The driver suffered minor injuries when the truck went off the right hand side of the road striking a rock causing the unit to flip.”

The truck contained music equipment belonging to the performers says Corporal Bush:

The truck contained music equipment belonging to Jason Aldean’s band – who had just finished a performance in Kamloops and were on their way to their next show in Prince George. 

An investigation into the cause of the crash is still underway.

As a result of the incident, tonight’s performance in Prince George is pushed back until tomorrow.

BCGEU strike headed to mediation

The B.C. General Employees' Union (BCGEU) and the provincial government have agreed to enter non-binding mediation, expected to begin as soon as possible. Vince Ready and Amanda Rogers are to be the mediators facilitating the process. The BCGEU said in a statement, it's members will still maintain picket lines across the province while mediation proceeds.
