Thousands Were Left In The Dark In Downtown Williams Lake

Power to hydro customers in dowtown Williams Lake has now been restored.

At 1:30 this afternoon a single vehicle struck a power pole across from DGs Car Wash on Mackenzie Avenue.

Staff Sargeant Del Byron said there was a lone occupant in the car and no injuries reported.

Byron said the matter is still under investigation and that flaggers are on scene.

4,000 customers were without power.
